It’s a question as old as time itself; “should I start a blog?” I’d resisted giving into the temptation for years. Surely, I’m not a blogger! And I guess we’re gonna find out whether that’s true or not.
So why did I start this blog? I’m going through a major life change right now. I’m leaving the film industry I grew up in, and moving to Georgia to restart my career and provide a better life for my family. Oh yeah, this is all happening in the middle of a global pandemic while my industry is basically frozen. This is clearly going to be… interesting. So why not talk about it? The things I carry with me, the hopes for the future, the adventures and misadventures along the way, and the new things I learn! Maybe some of this will prove useful to someone else out there. Someone scared to make the leap or scared of the questions they can’t ask themselves out loud, or even ask other people. We’ll see.
Working in film has always been volatile, and my career has always been minorly successful at best. Let’s see what can be improved upon, and if that change bears us any fruits!
So that’s it! We’re on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and I’m just gonna try and blog about it. Sound good?
